A new format for booklovers

We have seen quite a few niche social networks catering to booklovers already, but there is a new social network called BookRix that offers slightly more to the aspiring author. Unless its competitors, this German site (rest assured: everything is in English though) offers authors the possibility to put their work online, including a nifty tool to create the look and feel of your book's cover and content. Also, the result can be easily transported into other blogs or websites.

Members of BookRix can personalize their profiles through a sophisticated user interface and display their writing in a graphical, flipbook format. The books can be downloaded for easy reference offline and the user-friendly, horizontal layout makes reading enjoyable.

The founders behind BookRix are co-founder and CTO, Alex Racic, who is responsible for technical development; Davor David Drezga, co-founder and head of strategic portal development and design and Gunnar Siewert, co-founder and head of marketing and promotion.

Nice post. Seeing as that there are now so many social networks catering to such a wide range of niches, my biggest problem is finding ones relevant to me and related to my specific interests or product niches. Google seems to be inefficient and returns alot of irrelevant results. A cool resource that I use is this search engine called Find A Social Network.
